Following Montessori perspectives, she advocates for inclusion of people with dementia so they can continue living in a way that is meaningful to them. She also works as a dementia consultant and community educator to support personal and professional care partners.<br><br>Many of Patty&#8217;s most valuable lessons have come from listening to people with cognitive change, including her own grandmother. She is a facilitator for the To Whom I May Concern\u00ae program, which creates opportunities for people aware of their cognitive change to challenge stigma and educate others. Like so many families, they didn&#8217;t know where to turn, what questions to ask, or how to provide support.
